Ludovico Carrino presented findings from ongoing research on the mental health effects of the increase in the State Pension Age for women aged 60-62 between 2010 and 2015. Preliminary results highlight an increase in depression rates and worse mental health status, as measured by the GHQ and SF-12 indices in the Understanding Society survey. A discussion followed with academics and members from the Department for Work and Pensions.
