Lawrence Sacco and Jing Liao present at Age UK on the CHIR Summer Program in Aging 2015

On the 26th of August 2015 Lawrence Sacco and Jing Liao, PhD students at King’s College London and University College London respectively,  presented at Age UK their experience of the Summer Program in Aging 2015 in Toronto. From the 1st to the 5th of June 2015 Lawrence and Jing participated at the 2015 Summer Programme in Ageing (SPA), which is the Canadian Institutes of Health Research annual flagship training programme, offering interdisciplinary research training to an international audience of postgraduate students and postdoctoral researchers. Age UK offered Jing and Lawrence bursaries to take part at this year’s SPA, which focused on the health and work participation of older people. The theme of SPA 2015 was “More Year, Better Lives: Health, wellness and participation of older adults in the world of work”. As part of the Summer Program in Aging, Lawrence and Jing submitted abstracts concerning their PhD projects. They presented the perspectives on the theme of the program in a talk at Age UK.
